[Team One] Dance
Title stolen from Hasshi's solo
Inspiration from seeing ABC Za oo many times (not possible) and Hasshi's solo concert.
From my Bar AU
Im only 24 hour late but LJ never notifies me of things
Eventual HasshixTottsu
Mentioned KitayamaxFujigaya
"Grief ridden isn't a good look on you, Kitayama." Tsuka-chan softly commented from perch against the wall.
"I think you mean guilt ridden." Kawai commented back, noticing Kitayama flinch. "Enough stalling, are you ready?"
While he himself was not performing that evening, and there were there to support Hashimoto, and watch Totsuka as he watched Hashimoto, Kawai could not help but give Kitayama a hard time. This was after all clearly his fault, and the was doing his best to shrink away from taking responsibility. But Kitayama was clearly uncomfortable with the entire situation, which is why he was shuffling by the door, finishing a smoke (A habit that Kawai knew that Fujigaya hated, but that didn't seem to stop him from doing it). He had been surprised to see the Ni no Ichi bar staff arrive about the time as he did, but a look from Goseki, stopped him from asking questions.
Did he really expect them to miss this?
But then again Kawai was still unclear how they had gotten tickets, good tickets, and backstage passes.
From the way that Totsuka was looking around the outside of the venue, eyes wide and face expressive, Kawai was certain that he had no idea what was in store for him. But then again neither did Kawai. Goseki always played things close to his chest, closer that Totsuka and Tsuka-chan was slightly more smug than usual, but not so much so to give anything away. But then again Tsuka-chan was often commenting on his own awesomeness and going on about secrets and things that only Goseki seemed to understand.
It was quite clear that Kitayama had not yet mentioned to Tottsu that maybe the reason for Hashimoto's extended absence from work was that he seemed to think that he was viewed by Tottsu as an overly persistent stalker.
But then again Kawai was convinced that even if Totsuka has been told, he wouldn't do anything about it. That just wasn't his style. His ability to deal with feeling and emotions was a little bit.... limited at times. Which was surprising, given his ability to write songs. But tonight was watching Hashimoto, and watching Tottsu.
"Does he know?" Kawai leaned against the wall near Goseki, inclining his head slightly towards the venue, and Goseki nodded.
"He is more nervous than usual, but he should be fine."
"Is he any good?"
Goseki didn't say anything, just smiled, before looking around at everyone.
"Shall we?"

As they walked inside, a man with a smile wider than his face, and a large nose greeted them!
"Welcome to Shokura!"
"MIYACCHI?!" Kawai called out before he could stop himself. He was one of their regulars, a friend of Tsuka-chan, and his bouldering buddy. He sometimes came in with his boyfriend or friend or buddy (their dynamics were still unclear) Tamamori, who was also friend with Fujigaya's, but this was just strange. Why was he even here tonight?
"What--"
Kawai stopped as Miyata smiled even wider somehow. "Tsuka-chan didn't tell you that I am the manger here?" Miyacchi's voice was kind and pleasant as always, and both Kawai and Totsuka looked to Tsukada in shock.
"Oops?" The other man laughed, shrugging his shoulders halfheartedly, and Kawai couldn't help but shake his head.
"Goseki-sama, are you at the table or the sound booth tonight?" A voice came from somewhere behind them, and Kawai and Totsuka both looked at one another in confusion. Kawai raised an eyebrow in question but Totsuka just shook his head. Even Kitayama looked a little surprised, but he has already disappeared. Probably to find his boyfriend.
What was going on here?
"Tonight the table. Its the last show tonight, so I want to make sure that I can really see it."
"Of course! Your table is ready as always. Please take a seat when you ready. Mercury is about to start his show."
"Mercury?" Kawai asked, and Goseki didn't answer, moving over to a table in front of the center stage. As he moved all the staff called out greetings to him, as to Tsuka-chan as well. Kawai could see Fujigaya leaning against a wall off to the side of the room, Kitayama walking away from him, and Kawai caught his gaze, slipping over to the other man.
"Whats going on? Miyacchi is manager and everyone is treating Goseki-kun and Tsuka-chan like royalty.
"Not my place to comment. But you never asked about Miyacchi's job. To be fair." Fujigya chuckled, before glaring at his boyfriend. "Mitsu still didn't say anything, did he? He avoided it when I asked."
"Not that I can tell. Tottsu plays is cards close to his chest, so I'm not sure that he would say anything."
Fujigaya nodded.
"You had better hurry.... Hasshi is about to start. And you will want to be sitting down for this."
"That good?"
Fujigaya pushed off the wall, not commenting, but walked over to where Miyacchi was standing next to the sound and lighting control booth. The lights went down just as Kawai got to his seat, and one glance at Totsuka and Kitayama's table told him that Totsuka still had no idea, not with the wide eyed gazes that he was casting around the room.
There were certainly many unknown things, as the music started, Kawai found that he was not watching Totsuka at all, instead his attention was completely on Hashimoto. He could hear a sharp intake of breath from next to him, and Kitayama might have made a low comment, but as Hashimoto walked onto the stage Kawai was struck by how much he looked that he belonged
A pair of low slung jeans, an open Hawaiian shirt, abdomen and chest visible.
Kawai could see "Dance" flash on the screen behind Hashimoto, but as the music picked up in intensity Hashimoto danced, he sang, and he moved.
Kawai has been unaware that he even had a sexy side, the sweet caring overgrown puppy side usually the most obvious.
But he sang, he danced, he and his back dancers (BACK DANCERS!!) Snowman did some acrobatics.
This was nothing like the young man that everyone was worried about, the man who was pining for someone who couldn't see the obvious things that was in front of him.
So this, this was new. This was different, and at the end, when dressed in a white tuxedo, Hashimoto extended a bouquet of roses as he sang "Stay with me", Kawai could understand why the entire venue surged to its feel, screaming and cheering as the lights faded, and the show ended. Kawai himself was standing and cheering before he knew what was happening.
Tottsu, though, seemed to be in shock, sitting and staring at the stage with wide eyes before he too stood, and as Hashimoto left the stage Kawai could not help but flash him a thumbs up, which the other returned with a huge grin.
Maybe there was hope after all.
