[Team Two] Seeing stars
a Rokku yo, Shizuka ni Nagare yo AU with their real names bc i can't care enough to rewatch for the sake of learning the names of their characters. i'd like to think of this as a "nobody dies" AU but after writing it i noticed it really doesn't matter.
The night kept darkening around them, and Kenichi could barely see anything but he wasn’t afraid anymore. The first nights at the yard, surrounded by abandoned cars, piles of trash and who knows what, had been a bit nerve-wrecking, but that was something he’d never admit to the others. Not even Shouji, even though Kenichi was almost sure he wouldn’t laugh at him. But only almost.
“I bet you can’t see any stars in Tokyo!” Kenichi heard Kazuya’s voice from on top of the nearest car, where he was sipping beer and looking at the sky.
“Of course you can,” Kenichi scoffed as an answer, and jumped onto the hood of the car, next to Maeda who was lying on his back, smoking a cigarette.
“…Okay, not that many. But some stars, sure.”
“They’re pretty,” Shouji sighed, lying next to Kazuya, eyes fixed at the sky above them, and nobody had anything to add to that.

do you have a favorite member? how did you find out about them (i'm guessing it was through keito XD)? have you watched their ridiculously gay and heartbreaking movie rokkuyo shizuka ni nagareyo? if not i really recommend it, if yes, let me cry about it to you!

Favorite member? I am partial to Kenichi (big surprise there, right?), mostly because he's the one I know the most about. Although Shouji was adorable (he's gotten so skinny, I'm a little worried about him), and Kouyou seems so sweet. Who's your favorite?
I found out about them because I'd been trying to brush up on my history of the agency, and I knew that (as you guessed) Keito's dad had been in a group, and I'd liked the covers of DAYBREAK I'd heard other johnny's boys do, and decided to check them out. That was a year ago. Now, I have nearly all of their albums, and I am the proud owner of their debut single (I've never been more glad I own a record player)!
I actually watched the movie right after reading your fic! I knew they'd done some acting work as a group, but I hadn't known the name of anything, and as soon as I saw that you'd mentioned what AU this was in, I looked it up. It's so good! They're adorable, and I found the whole CRIME basically being them, inspiring themselves thing kinda funny. And I loved the Hikaru Genji cameo when the boys went to Tokyo; even when they're just fooling around, Hikaru Genji's roller skating skills amaze me. But the end!!! It's so sudden, and jarring. It was completely unexpected, and truly heartbreaking. The very last scene with the cake killed me. But please, do cry about it to me!
