'Smart' gets people out of trouble. 'Smart' gets people out of the stickiest of situations — Namjoon knows this. Dear God, does he know this too well. And he knows 'smart' is what usually gets people good grades and gets them through university but if he can't even get the right words out of his mouth now, standing in front of Jeongguk, acid and nervousness and a confession bubbling at the base of his throat, then what's the point? "You came," Jeongguk breathes out. He worries his lower lip. "I thought—" "I know," Namjoon says, voice trailing off into light laughter. When the corners of Jeongguk's mouth quirk up, a knot in Namjoon's chest tightens. There goes wall number one. "I thought so, too."
