i'm a bit late, i'm sorry!
so
damagea challenged me to write sesoo this round. i wanted to write something longer and greater but oh well -_- i tried to make it cute at least.
Priceless was the word for Chanyeol’s face after Sehun told him he wasn’t at his doorsteps for him.
“What? Then why are you here?” Chanyeol’s eyebrows curled comically when he was puzzled. “I’m just about to leave for band practice.”
“I know,” Sehun said. “But your roommate’s home, right?”
“Kyungsoo? Yeah, he is but–”
“Great,” Sehun chirped and pushed past Chanyeol into the apartment.
“Wait what? You know Kyungsoo? How?”
“We’ve been on a couple of courses together,” Sehun said and shrugged. Then he reached for the guitar case that was leaning against the wall next to the door. He pointedly handed it to Chanyeol and smiled in a way that he hoped was reassuring.
“You better go so you won’t be late for the practice, hyung.”
Sehun could almost see the gears turning in Chanyeol’s head and physical question marks floating above him but luckily his dedication to band practice seemed to overrun his curiosity as he finally shrugged and lifted the guitar case over his shoulder.
“We’ll talk later,” he said to Sehun before stepping out.
Sehun just rolled his eyes and walked further in. There was a delicious smell in the air and when Sehun peeked in the closet-sized kitchen, he saw Kyungsoo by the stove, evidently cooking something.
“Hello,” Sehun said while stepping in and sitting by the small dining table.
Kyungsoo quickly glanced over his shoulder at Sehun. “You run into Chanyeol, huh?”
“Yep. You should’ve seen his face when he heard I was here to see you.”
“He’s gonna be insufferable from now on then,” Kyungsoo sighed. He’d turned back towards the stove, stirring something on the pan.
Sehun pouted slightly, not feeling like he was getting the amount of attention he would’ve liked so he got up and walked up to the other. He stood behind Kyungsoo, crouched down a bit and rested his chin on the other’s shoulder. His face lit up when he saw what Kyungsoo was making.
“Is that kimchi spaghetti? I’ve wanted to taste it since forever!”
“Seems like it’s your lucky day, then,” Kyungsoo chuckled. “If you want to eat, could you set up the table while I finish this?”
“Sure thing!” Sehun said, gave Kyungsoo a light peck on the cheek (because he could) and skipped to the cupboard for plates and glasses.
Having a home-cooked dinner together was probably the most domestic thing they’d ever done, and Sehun found it incredible how something so mundane could make his stomach do little flips. The food was amazing, as expected of Kyungsoo, and Sehun ate with good appetite and showered the other with compliments that Kyungsoo just shyly waved off. He looked pleased though, and his own plate stayed almost untouched while he was busy watching Sehun eat, a small smile on his lips.
At one point, Sehun reached for Kyungsoo’s hand over the table, lacing their fingers together, just for the heck of it. He was feeling so happy, so hopeful.
“I think we should tell Chanyeol hyung, you know?”
Kyungsoo sighed but nodded. “Yeah, we should.”
“Tonight when he gets back? Together?”
Kyungsoo smiled and squeezed his hand. “Deal.”
93rdfragment, you're up~!
