[Team One] Yours

I am late, I am so, so sorry. I had no time to write this weekend, but I really wanted to write something, so.

It isn't that Yoongi is the first person he has ever loved; Yoongi knows this. Seokjin has been with other men, women, people before. It's not as if Yoongi is particularly bothered by it; in fact, he's not. They're both in their late twenties, Yoongi's 27, Seokjin is 28. They're both bound to have a couple of exes. It's natural, it's expected.

Yoongi hasn't. Yoongi doesn't have exes. Yoongi had a couple of crushes in junior high, no serious crushes or relationships in high school, and a close friend whom he had occasionally slept with while attending university. They never got as far as dating, as Yoongi had gotten cold feet and had cut off their friendship.

Seokjin has. Seokjin does have exes. Yoongi doesn't have the exact number, but knows from what Seokjin has told him genuinely, calmly, that he has been dating several people before he met Yoongi. Not just casual dating, but having serious relationships. The last relationship he was in, before he met Yoongi, had been really serious. There had been talks about buying apartments, buying cars, having children.

"We talked about moving to an apartment, or a house, close to a kindergarten because we were going to have a kid," Seokjin tells him one night, words whispered in the quiet darkness of the cold bedroom in Seokjin's apartment. Yoongi had only watched Seokjin's face, barely bathed in the moonlight slipping through the thin curtains covering the windows in the bedroom.

"I couldn't do it. I couldn't' I wasn't- I am not ready to have kids, Yoongi," Seokjin tells him honestly, eyes wide.

"But you-" Yoongi begins, licks his lips and falls quiet. He's not sure of what to say, or if he's supposed to say anything.

"I broke her heart," Seokjin says. Yoongi hears him inhale sharply, his voice trembling when he continues. "She had this whole plan of where she wanted to be in her life, at this age, and at that age and honestly it terrified me. I went along on her wishes, went to see apartments where she wanted to live, kindergartens where she wanted our kid to-"

Seokjin doesn't say more for some time, and Yoongi wonders if he has fallen asleep.

"Is it because you discovered you were gay?" Yoongi asked carefully. If Seokjin had fallen asleep, it didn't matter. Yoongi needed to say the words out loud, needed to ask Seokjin, even if he was asleep.

"I'm not gay, Yoongi," Seokjin tells him kindly, voice rough. "I like people."

That night, Yoongi learnt that Seokjin likes people. Seokjin doesn't care about gender, falls in love with personalities. Seokjin isn't attracted to Yoongi because he has a cock. Seokjin is attracted to Yoongi because of his personality. Because Yoongi is Yoongi.

They're washing dishes. Yoongi is washing dishes. Seokjin is making coffee. It's quiet, comfortable, when Seokjin speaks.

"You know I am, right?"

"You're what?" Yoongi asks, not quite paying attention, hands holding onto a plate.

"Yours."
