[team sonic] two entries

First words from As Thin As Glass.

To begin with, Harry can't actually remember the number of the floor upon which his room is located. While the magnetic card in his pocket has a really nice rendition of the hotel’s coat of arms or crest or something like that, it doesn't actually indicate which room is his. He sighs. He can picture the folder in which the card was handed to him, but not the number printed on the card tucked into the pocket facing.

The doors of the lift are just started to close when they reverse wide open again. Just his luck, now someone else will see him bumbling around. If they're paranoid enough, they might even call the front desk to make sure he's actually a guest. Harry braces himself, and raises his eyes to meet—

Well, he's not actually sure what kind of person he expected to see, but it definitely wasn't this.

First words from just your standard poltergeist activity.

The light flickers again, but Stiles just shrugs and flips another page in his book. He's probably asking for trouble, but on the other hand, some things are inevitable. And some things, like running out of candles, just come down to casual carelessness. He can already see Lydia’s expression.

“But if you realized you only had six candles, why didn't you just light five?”

Honestly, Stiles isn't quite sure. Is it because he'd already lit the sixth candle before he realized he didn't have a seventh? Is it because he doesn't really like it when the power goes out, so more light is better?

Either way, it doesn't really matter. The candlelight flickers again. There's something here.
