[Team Sonic] Serious Business

“I'm not going to marry you, just because we made some deal back when we were kids,” Miyadate looks at Watanabe. “I’m going to marry you because I want to and I love you.” His voice is steady but the look in his eyes tells Watanabe that Miyadate isn’t completely sober anymore. Neither is he but for some reason the words still register in his brain clearly.
Watanabe laughs softly and there’s a comeback on his tongue, something along the lines of telling Miyadate that he’s drunk and being silly and that they really can’t get married but then Miyadate lifts his hand up and slides a ring onto Watanabe’s finger.
It effectively silences him and all the words fly out of his brain.
“You’re serious.” Watanabe finally gets out.
Miyadate nods. “I am.”
