[Team one] expedition
Have been rewatching Stargate SG-1 the past few weeks, so oops my fingers slipped and this happened
"All right then, don't complain," Jack warns. His goal for this mission is to keep everyone on track for once and not get distracted.
"I'm not going to complain," Daniel replies with a voice that absolutely sounds like he's going to complain after waiting a requisite five minutes or so.
"We're just here to say hello and nothing else," Jack continues, and then tries to put on some semblance of a friendly face as the locals begin to approach.
Daniel gestures to the rocky ruins nearby. "But the knowledge we could gain..." He didn't even have the decency to wait the five minutes.
"Ah!" Jack cuts him off, wagging a finger at his teammate. "I said no complaints."
Daniel turns to the rest of their team but both Sam and Teal'c are doing their best to pretend they can't hear the conversation happening right beside them.
"Hello," greets the leader of the world's welcoming party as they approach SG-1. "Have you come to see the ruins?"
Daniel's face lights up and Jack immediately sighs. So much for staying on task.
"Yes, indeed we have," the archeologist hastily answers before Jack can get a word in edgewise.
The welcoming group nods and gestures for SG-1 to follow them to the nearby crumbling structure covered with etchings of long forgotten languages and faded pictures.
"Daniel..." Jack begins, mustering up all the disapproval he can.
"Jack," Daniel cuts him off with a cheeky grin. "You said no complaints."
