[team two] wanting gladness ii
This is terribly late and I just have no excuse. This is a continuation of my previous shiritori.
“You’re right,” Al says, after first running down to make sure Ed is okay and still in his current number of pieces—embarrassing if it was anyone but him. “I’m pretty sure that Roy did that specifically to annoy you.”
Ed shoots his brother a glare, but Al doesn’t even bother trying to hide his snickering. “I’m pretty sure it’s everyone else’s disgruntlement that’s really bothering you.” He turns and leads the way back up the steps, his strides as measured as usual. Ed would protest being coddled, but Al really does walk this way normally. He sighs instead.
“I think that if everyone doesn’t stop whining I’m going to have to do something drastic—“
“Which is why you’re visiting me instead,” Al interrupts.
“...which is why I’m visiting you,” Ed admits, resigned. “And also I need to check in on you—“
Al turns to look at him and Ed quickly redirects his phrase, “—your project.”
“Brother,” Al smiles wholeheartedly, not a single mean bone in his body, “I have so much to tell you!”
Ed smiles, ready to listen to Al explain all the new developments and pretend, for at least three hours of interesting discussion, that Roy doesn’t exist in this universe.
