[Team one] unwrapped gifts
This is a snippet of a fic I'm posting soon for tdbk month ^_^ I've obviously been trying to finish it since Christmas...
It looks positively absurd on him even though it matches his red and white hair.
"Hell no," he answers, and returns to his task of sorting the presents by floor into smaller bags. "You look ridiculous."
"Thank you," Todoroki replies.
"That wasn't a compliment, Icyhot," Bakugou growls somehow through gritted teeth.
But Todoroki persists, holding the Santa hat out patiently for Bakugou to change his mind. He waits and waits and waits until Bakugou finally snatches it away, his fingers brushing accidentally against Todoroki's own hot and cold ones. He ignores the contrasting sensations of the touch and focuses on stuffing the hat over his unruly hair.
He swears Todoroki looks pleased for a split second before a blank expression settles back on his face.
"As an elf, I'm not quite sure what I have to do. My internet search gave me several confusing answers," Todoroki continues, way too invested in playing his part.
Bakugou glares at him. "You carry the bags," he answers, thrusting several into his arms now that he's finished sorting. "C'mon, let's go and get this over with."
Todoroki follows along, albeit slowly. He's not actually having any trouble with balancing the weight of the bags in his arms. He just doesn't seem to be in a hurry. It's just like their trip through that haunted house together, where he tended to be more interested in examining the decorations than keeping up.
Bakugou will just have to take matters into his own hands.
