[Team three] a universal constant
Getting back in the swing of writing Star Trek Voyager with this random little snippet.
Star Trek Voyager, less than 150 words, g-rated
"Make us proud, Harry," Tom says, clapping him on the shoulder and nudging him forward.
Harry stumbles a step forward but manages to regain his balance before it starts looking embarrassing. "Thanks for the vote of confidence," he mutters.
He clears his throat to stall for a few seconds as he gathers his confidence. "Uh, hi," he begins. "I'm Ensign Harry Kim of the Federation Starship Voyager. And well... we need some directions."
The aliens stare blankly at him for a long moment and then look at each other as if they might be in the same predicament. But at least they look slightly less threatening than they had a few minutes ago when the two groups had run into each other.
Harry sighs. "We're all hopelessly lost, aren't we?"
