[Team Three] Overnight Stay
In which Kojirou is bad at feelings, and Hiromi is patient. Sk8 Joe/Cherry (plus past Cherry/Adam), 300w, T.
"He's hot!" Kojirou shouted, louder than he had intended. He'd be mortified if he weren't so exhausted. Not that there was really anyone around to hear his outburst -- hospitals at 2am weren't exactly bustling nightlife.
Hiromi raised an eyebrow, the effect exaggerated by the smudged makeup he still hadn't removed. "Hot?"
"Don't call him pretty," Kojirou hissed. "If he doesn't punch you in the face, I will. First detention I ever got in high school was for teaching the assholes who kept calling him a pretty boy a lesson. Kaoru gave me the silent treatment for three days for that. I learned my lesson; he likes showing off how polite and proper he is, but deep down he's as feral as anyone."
"Even more than ADAM?" Hiromi asked.
Kojirou's fist connected with the wall. "Aren't they a set? Nothing but protocol and perfect answers all day, and then they get to S and you'd barely recognize them. They've always been like that--interview-ready one minute and at each other's throats, or in them, the next. They're on a whole different level from the likes of us."
Hiromi scooted closer, close enough that Kojirou could feel his body heat radiating into the hospital chill. "But you're the one who's here right now. ADAM's the one who put Cherry in the hospital, and you're the one waiting for him. That has to count for something."
"Someone has to make sure Kaoru doesn't try to sneak out early. He's notorious for that--bad at following orders, overly perfectionistic, doesn't know when to stop--"
"And hot," Hiromi cut in.
"And hot, and infuriatingly good in bed, and observant, and caring once you get past the bristles, and in desperate need of someone who won't burden him with more expectations, and why am I telling you any of this?"
Hiromi shrugged. "Because I'm here, and you're worried?"
You're up, Ziskandra!
