[Team four] Friend

I tried to finish but I couldn't, rip.

“We’ll figure it out,” Pat says, placing his hand gingerly on Pran’s shoulder as they both watch Wai leave the rugby field. What Pat really wants to do, is kick Wai’s ass into next Tuesday as well as hug his boyfriend, but refrains from doing either. Kicking Wai’s ass would probably get him suspended from school and kicked out of the rugby team, as well as making Pran angry at him. Hugging Pran would mean showing public affection, something Pran isn’t ready for yet. Pran hasn’t told him this specifically, but Pat knows Pran.

Without looking at him, Pran shrugs Pat’s arm off his shoulder, and Pat, somewhat surprised, lets his arm fall back to his side. To be honest, that hurt a bit. Pat frowns. What was wrong with that? Even friends touch each other like that.

As if to mark his point, Korn and Mo walk over to them, Mo’s arm casually slung over Korn’s shoulders.

“I don’t get why he’s so pissed,” Korn says, voicing Pat’s thoughts.

“You and me both,” Pat says, looking briefly over at Pran before meeting Korn’s gaze. Korn’s eyebrows furrow as he also looks over at Pran, whose gaze is still fixed on Wai’s back. Pat knows Pran isn’t in love with Wai, but sometimes when he catches them looking at each other or talking to each other, Pat catches onto something. What this something is, he doesn’t know. He can’t put his finger on it, but it’s something.

“He did out you,” comes a voice from behind them, making all of them turn their heads, sans Pran.

It’s Louis who’s catching up to them with Safe hot on his heels, both hands stuffed into his pockets. While Safe mostly ignores them, Louis nods briefly in Pat’s direction as they pause by Pat’s left side.

Pran hums as if to acknowledge Louis’ words, but doesn’t speak up.

“We have already tried to talk to him,” Safe says, looking at Pran. “But he doesn’t want to talk about it.”

[livejournal.com profile] alchemicink, you're up, and this is your sentence: “But he doesn’t want to talk about it.”
