[team two] re seraph

a friend of mine wrote a poetry thesis in college, and the first part included pieces where she listened to a song and simply wrote the words that came to her without editing. I always loved that, and I couldn't think of a plot this week, so here we are. written while listening to seraph by dpr ian.

gold flows through his veins like melting ice. he can't hear anything anymore, can't feel the way his skin begins to sink through the earth. soon, there will not be anything left, and it quiets the humming at the back of his mind. that ever-present murmur that has kept him company for as long as this body can remember and then some. one day, he might hear it again.
