Just the beginning to a little Shinsou genfic!
Bnha, g-rated, very short
The morning sun is way too bright for someone who got barely any sleep last night, Shinsou thinks as he walks across campus to the classroom building.
He ignores his nerves, which are making his stomach roil with anxiety, and focuses instead on heading in the right direction. It would be extremely awkward to let muscle memory take him to his old classroom when today's supposed to be his first day in a new one.
Shinsou straightens his shoulders, trying to look more confident. He can't show any kind of weakness with his new classmates, or let them think it was a mistake to let him transfer. He braces himself for the inevitable awkwardness of joining an already tight-knit group of students, and reminds himself that he's not here to make friends anyway.
That would just distract from learning how to be a hero.
At least his first day with them will start in the classroom, which feels less invasive than moving right into their dorm too. He still has a few days to pack the rest of his stuff before he carts it over there this weekend.
Shinsou imagines disinterested faces is what will greet him when he reaches the classroom. Which is fine. It's what he expects. He doesn't need a warm welcome to the hero course.
Having reached his destination, his feet stop automatically in front of the door. He can hear muffled chatter coming from the other side, and the nerves twist his stomach again. He's glad he didn't eat breakfast this morning.
With a deep breath, he reaches out and opens the door.
