[team four] untitled wip
Thought I'd be able to finish something for once, but exam season has drained me. I had my last exam ever on Friday, though!!!
Anyways, this came to me while I was at work and I hope I'm able to make something out of this universe.
Yoongi squints at the red scrawl on the whiteboard. He shouldn’t have left his glasses at home. He’s blind. Someone has wiped their entire whiteboard clean and left a drawing of a dick instead. A dick with a Christmas hat. It’s December after all. Next to the dick, someone has written “Merry Dickmas” in capital letters. The red pen underneath it, asking whose handwriting it is, is from their boss. Yoongi can easily picture Junmyeon writing it frantically, after discovering it by accident one morning, on his way to ask the main control about today’s broadcasting schedule.
A door opens and a clinking sound approaches Yoongi rapidly. Unfazed, Yoongi continues to squint at the whiteboard.
“I honestly thought Junmyeon would spot it earlier.”
Yoongi looks to his left and finds Seokjin standing next to him, balancing a plate full of pizza slices that look like they’re seconds away from falling off. Next to them is Seokjin’s precious mug, pink, with “Professional chaos coordinator” on it written in white.
“Leftover pizza?”
“Yeah, Junmyeon’s thank you to yesterday’s night team for staying behind to cover that emergency press conference about that earthquake,” Seokjin says, wiggling in the way Seokjin always does when food is involved. “They didn’t finish it.”
Pizza was their broadcasting company’s go-to whenever something happened and people had to work overtime. The president’s daughter got married and the reception lasts way past its schedule? Pizza. A mass shooting in a neighboring country? Pizza. Summer’s almost here and all the regulars are heading for summer break, leaving the part-timers with all the new seasonal workers? Pizza!
Yoongi had seen the frantic e-mails and messages from Junmyeon yesterday evening, asking, no, pleading for someone to come in and work to help out with the live captioning, to relieve the team that had been working non-stop for hours, due to the delayed press conference. Yoongi had been sleeping and did not see the e-mails until way past midnight.
