[Team four] a horse is a horse (of course, of course)
Had this silly SG-1 banter idea, tho I ran out of time before I could figure out the ending. Oh well
Stargate SG-1, g-rated, less than 200 words
"It would be cool if it was a unicorn," Jack says, just because he knows it'll rile Daniel up.
"It's not a unicorn," Daniel replies, looking up from the text he's translating to glare at Jack. "I told you, the mythology here suggests a Pegasus."
Jack kicks around a few rocks at his feet, still bored with the ruins they're exploring on this new planet. He shrugs, nonchalant, and adds, "they're the same thing."
Daniel narrows his eyes, and Jack resists the urge to grin. He needs to stay straight-faced or Daniel will realize he's being obtuse on purpose.
"They're not the same," Daniel sighs, exasperated. "A Pegasus has wings."
"So do unicorns."
"No, they don't."
"They're both fictional horses," Jack points out. "How do you know they don't have wings too?"
Jack turns to Teal'c for some support in the argument, but the Jaffa suddenly seems very interested in examining the decorative art on the wall in much closer detail.
