[Team Two] Untitled (Juri's life is hard)

Just a random beginning snippet of a fic where Juri's life is hard (once again)! With some Jesse/Taiga. Very G-rated.

Moments like this are exactly why Juri finds his life oddly rewarding sometimes. He's just finished a long work period, and it will finally be his first weekend off in weeks. And now he has big plans: gaming, ordering a criminal amount of delivery food, and sleeping for more than three hours straight (if he feels generous with himself). There are no obligations or responsibilities waiting for him - it's going to be just him, his computer, and his sweats. Perfect.

That's when the door slams open.

“JUUURIIIIIII!” Jesse bellows.

Behind him, Taiga slips in. Unfortunately, Juri recognizes that look immediately. Taiga's wearing a face, which says nothing else but 'We need a favor, and it's inconvenient, expensive, or both'.

"No," Juri says after glancing at them, returning his focus to the bag he's packing.

"You don't even know what we're asking," Taiga huffs and rolls his eyes.

"No," Juri repeats. "Nothing good ever comes from you two showing up together like this and looking like that."

"We need a ride," Jesse declares.

"No."

"To a ryokan."

"Absolutely not." Juri sets his bag down and gives them both a hard stare. "Because that sounds suspiciously like a romantic getaway."

Jesse grins. "Because it is one!"

"No way. I'm not playing the third wheel while you two hold hands and share a drink at the service area. Ask Kochi or Shintaro."

"Nope, we checked already. Both of them got work," Taiga says. "You're the only one who's free."

Juri glares. "I'm not free either. I have plans."

"You don't", Taiga says flatly.

"Pleeeeeease," Jesse whines, hands clasped together like a kid.

"And how exactly would you get back?" Juri continues. "Because there's no way I'm waking up that early to pick you up in the middle of nowhere."

Taiga glances at Jesse. "Well, we'd need you to stay with us overnight. It's not possible otherwise."

Juri gives them a horrified look. "You expect me to share a room with you two during your romantic trip? No thanks. I'd rather sleep under the bridge."

"No, no," Jesse waves his hands. "You'd have your own room, of course! Big one! It has a separate living room and a private bath!"

"And that's supposed to be enough?" Juri asks.

"We'll throw in a gift card," Taiga promises.

Juri's ears perk up at that. "For what?"

"Steam," Taiga replies quickly, probably before Jesse can say something dumb like "the nearest second-hand store" and then laugh at his own joke for five minutes.

Juri pretends to think about it, but he's already interested. Still, he's not letting them off easy.

"The Steam gift card with a value of thirty thousand yen," he says.

"Fifteen."

"No way. Twenty-five."

"Twenty and exclusive dinner at the ryokan's restaurant. You love soba," Taiga negotiates.

Juri groans. "Twenty, dinner and dessert."

"Fine," Taiga sighs.

"Deal," Juri says, picking up his bag. "Oh, and absolutely no PDA is allowed. I'm not driving you lovebirds just to puke and ruin my car."
